For most texts, translation charges are calculated per thousand (1000) words in the source language and vary according to the complexity of the text, its formatting and the timescale. As at 15 January 2012 rates vary between £65 to £100 per 1000 German words and £60 to £95 per 1000 French words. Invoices may also be presented in euros on request. The rate per day (or half day) equates to the rate quoted for 2000 (1000) source text words.
Translations of less than 600 words attract a minimum charge of £40.
Revision, editing and proofreading rates start from £25 per hour. Weekend work attracts a premium of 25% but may be undertaken with adequate notice.
Quotations are also available priced in Euros based on the daily exchange rate on the Barclays Business Banking webpage.

Certificates and diplomas are usually charged at £25 for the first certificate and £15 for each subsequent one. The UK, unlike France or Germany, does not have sworn translators.
Certified translations attract a premium of £10. Please check with the authorities whether the document you send me to translate must be an original or copy. All original documentation must be sent and returned by recorded delivery. This is included in the price.
Notarized translations cost £95 including the notary's fee. Please check with the authorities whether the document you send me to translate must be an original or copy. All original documentation must be sent and returned by recorded delivery. The price is all-inclusive.
