Translation Editing Revision Proofreading
French and German into English
Mission:
My aim is to provide quality translations in a professional and punctual manner, producing written translations from French and German into English as well as proofreading and editing English texts for clients.
Service:
As a native English translator, I only work into English. Clients usually send me files by email. These may be MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint) documents or files in PDF format which I am able to convert accurately to mirror the original layout. This is particularly useful if you need me to translate a certificate.
My translations are achieved using sophisticated software (CAT tools) to incorporate terminology researched from existing documents as well as ensuring the terminology in your text is translated consistently throughout.
My work is underwritten by Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII).
General Translation:
Emails, contracts, websites, CVs, diplomas, certificates
Specialist fields:
Accounting, Finance, Economics, Politics, Banking, Marketing & Litigation Evidence
Specialist text types:
Annual Reports (German GAAP, French Code de Commerce, IFRS, IAS), Mergers & Acquisitions, Prospectuses, Brochures, Agreements, Analysis, Statements, Proposals and Updates.
Fee structure:
Current rates vary between:
£65 and £100 per 1000 German words
and £60 and £95 per 1000 French source words (A4 = approximately 250 words).
As the daily output varies between 1500 and 3500 words, with an average of 2000 words per day, the daily rate or part thereof equates to the rate quoted for 2000 source text words.
There is a minimum charge of £40 for 600 words or fewer.
